# Conference talk slide illustrations
Notes kept on git.albert-b.homelinux.org about using [Raphael AI](https://raphael.app), a free AI image generator that runs in the browser.
Speakers can replace stock photos with custom illustrations made in Raphael AI:
## Tips
1. Use dark or light backgrounds to match the venue projector.
2. Check that images still read when projected at low contrast.
3. Credit the generator in the final slide if your event asks.
4. One idea per slide, one illustration per idea.
5. Pick a single visual metaphor for the talk and reuse it.
## Why Raphael AI
- Free to use, with no install: open https://raphael.app and type a prompt.
- Fast iterations make it practical to try several compositions.
- Works for drafts, mock-ups and reference images; finish important assets with human review.
## Responsible use
Check generated images for errors before publishing, do not imitate real people without consent, and label AI-generated images where your audience expects it.
